Aluminum Utility Arms
- September 08, 2006
from MRoboto
Amount: $148.00 USD
(Per Set)
These came just 3
days after I sent payment via Paypal. They came very well
packaged and in a really nice bubble wrap envelope!
You can tell that
these aluminum utility arms are made using an EDM Wire Cutter which
is different from other parts
that MRobot offers, but the quality is still well maintained. It is
almost like they were formed into shape instead of being cut.
These bad boys also
have some weight to them, so be careful not to drop one of these on
your foot. These also have the pre-drilled holes for the hinge pins on
the JAG Aluminum Frame.
Description:
"Utility Arms" are two appendages take are mounted on the
front body just below the dome.

Aluminum Power Couplers
-
July 26, 2006
from Michael McMaster
Amount: $128.00 USD
(Per Set)
These were waiting
for me on the door step when I got home this afternoon. The
Aluminum Power Couplers from Michael McMaster.
The Aluminum Power
Couplers are absolutely stunning as if they would be anything less
than perfect coming from Michael McMaster. I ordered these
from Michael back on May 11, 2006; not a bad turn around time.
I especially like how the surround detail is included. Before
you had to order the Power Couplers and then had to get the Power
Coupler detail inserts serperately. The four (4) inner tabs
are screwed in from the back side and can be easily removed for
painting the inner details. I am totally satisfied with the
Aluminum Power Couplers and can't wait to see what Mike will offer
next...hint, hint!
Description:
"Power Couplers" are the round shaped ports located at the
front and rear bottom center section of the
"Body".

Aluminum
JAG Frame -
June 30, 2006
from Jerry Greene
Amount: $800.00 USD
I really lucked out
on the Aluminum JAG Frame for two reasons; first I didn't realize
that Jerry might not be making these wonderful frames ever again,
and secondly my wife for understanding.
I thought that if I
didn't get in on Jerry's latest run of Aluminum Frames, that I would
just wait for the next time. I was very sad to hear that Jerry
might not be doing any more frames due to the fact that there are so
many parts involved and to many headaches.
Luckily for me,
Jerry had just enough spare parts to complete one more Aluminum JAG
Frame kit. I was very fortunate to get my hands on this
extraordinary piece of engineering. The Aluminum JAG Frame is
very well thought out and extremely strong. The instructions
for putting the frame together was very well illustrated which made
putting it together a breeze.
Of course I had to
see what it would look like with the Dome and Skins on it, just
didn't take any pictures. I feel very fortunate to have been
able to purchase the Aluminum JAG Frame and even more fortunate to
have such an incredible wife who allows me to build my childhood
dream.

Aluminum Top/Bottom Vent
Inserts -
May 15, 2006
from Dave Everett
Amount: $90.00 USD
(Per Set)
I was beginning to
think that these Aluminum Top/Bottom Vent Inserts might have been
lost in the mail since they come from Dave Everett in the far away
"Land Down Under", but it was just me being impatient as usual.
As I would have
expected, these Aluminum Top/Bottom Vent Inserts are incredible!
They fit together perfectly as if by some magical force had a hand
in it's creation. Dave has done an excellent job producing
these vents inserts. I did a test fit and everything fits with
very little effort and not gap problems. These Aluminum
Top/Bottom Vent Inserts are very much worth the money.
Description:
"Vent Inserts" are the vertical slits that fit within the Top/Bottom
"Vent Surrounds" that are located in the front center section of the
"Body".

information, check out the "R2 Parts Lingo
Chart".

Aluminum 17.5 "Slimline
Lazy Susan -
May 6, 2006
from Rockler Woodworking
and Hardware (Arlington, TX)
Amount: $49.00 USD
I bought this
Aluminum 17.5" Slimline Lazy Susan from my local
Rockler store here in
Arlington, TX. They were having a Spring Sale, but
unfortunately the Lazy Susan wasn't part of the sale. Still it
was nice to be able to see it and give it a whirl before buying it.
I was surprised at how quite and easy it was to turn. This
thing is packed with ball bearings and very sturdy.
On an off subject;
Rockler is the bomb! That
place has some of the coolest woodworking tools and hardware that I
have ever seen anywhere locally. I am definitely going back
there again.
Description: Since
this part attaches to the frame and dome, there is no reference to
it in the Parts Lingo Chart. However you can go to the
Rockler website and
check out the details. Part # 12451. |

Aluminum
Skins -
April 29, 2006
by John Sherrell
Amount: $180.00 USD (Per
Set)
The Aluminum Skins came in mail via USPS
Priority and they are awesome!
These are made up of
four separate pre-rolled Laser cut Aluminum; the front inner and
outer, and the rear inner and outer with each panel door and trim
held in place by a small tab for easy removal. They are also
made to club specifications.
The first and second
picture are the same piece; just wanted to show a side shot.
The third and fourth are also the same piece.
A couple of the
skins had slight bends in them which are easy enough to push back
into shape. You can see the bend in the second picture and a
slight bend in the fourth. Again not a problem and absolutely
worth the money!
Description:
"Skins" an shell or chasse which incases the
framework or internal body structure.

information, check out the "R2 Parts Lingo
Chart".

Aluminum Front Top Vent
Surround -
February 4, 2006
by Wayne Orr
Amount: $25.00 USD
I bought this
Aluminum Front Top Vent Surround from Wayne Orr who had a few of
these left over from a previous run. They had minor scuffs and
scratches so I was able to pick one up for a reasonable price.
The inperfections are barely noticible and easy to wet sand out so
no biggy. Now if I could only get the "Front Bottom Vent
Surround", I'll be set.
Description:
"Front Top Vent Surround" an shell or chasse which
houses the "Front Top Vent Inserts" which mount in the body structure.
For more
information, check out the "R2 Parts Lingo
Chart".
