Steel Center Foot - June 16, 2006
by Jerry Greene

Amount: $150.00 USD

The very anticipated Steel Center Foot from Jerry Greene was delivered on June 16, 2006 while I was out of town.  I was lucky that my neighbor brought it inside the house while feeding the dog as it rained really hard on that night and the following night.

Unlike the other parts that I have purchased, this one is made entirely of steel instead of aluminum.  This is very understandable since a lot of weight will be pressing down on it.  It is also pretty heavy compared to the aluminum parts that I have purchased; again understandable.  I don't mind that the center foot is made heavy because it will offset the weight at the top of R2 since you don't want a top heavy droid.

I have been told that rust will begin to form on the the steel foot unless I put a coat of primer on it, but because I want to powder coat it, I may need to vacuum seal it from the air.

I am very impressed  with the steel center foot and look forward to more quality items from Jerry Greene.

Description: "Center Foot" one of three (3) feet on an R2 droid.  The "Center Foot" is can be mounted on the bottom center of the body or retractable to add additional stability when in motion.

Aluminum Shoulder Hubs - June 2, 2006
by Jason Smith

Amount: $61.00 USD (Per Set)

This set of "Shoulder Hubs" were delivered on June 2, 2006 and came with the "Booster Covers" that I ordered from Jason Smith.  Again I am amazed at the detail and how well everything fits together.  From order to delivery was also very fast compared normal runs.

These Shoulder Hubs were a little cheaper because I ordered them with the Booster Covers, which made this a bargain that I couldn't pass up.  I look forward to more runs from Jason in the future.

Description: "Shoulder Hubs" are round hub shape pieces that fit in the opening of the "Horse Shoes" and top section of the legs.

Aluminum Horseshoes w/Shims - May 12, 2006
by Jason Smith

Amount: $215.00 USD (Per Set)

This is absolutely the fastest R2-D2 part order that I have ever received with a turnaround time of 3 days from purchase via Paypal to delivery via USPS Priority Mail.  Now that is what I call service!

Next to the R&J Super Dome, this is one of my favorite pieces yet.  I am amazed at the detail and precision that went into these Horseshoes.  It also has some weight to it.  It is one of the heaviest pieces that I have purchased.  The really nice thing that I love about these Horseshoes is that the Aluminum Shoulder Hydraulics and Buttons attach perfectly in the predrilled holes which are already threaded.  All I had to do is screw them in and that's it!  The Horseshoes and Shims are a little pricey, but considering the turnaround time and amazing detail and compatibility with the Aluminum Shoulder Hydraulics and Buttons, definitely worth the extra money and then some!

Description: "Horseshoes" a horseshoe shaped piece that covers the upper "Legs/Shoulders" and houses the "Shoulder Hydraulics and Buttons".

The Aluminum Leg Struts came in mail via USPS Priority and they look absolutely perfect.  These are made up of three separate pieces that can be disassembled and reassembled very easily.  They are definitely worth the money!

Aluminum Shoulder Hydraulics and Buttons - February 1, 2006
by (Uknown)

Amount: $103.05 USD (Hydraulics (2) and Buttons (4))

I bought these (2) Aluminum Shoulder Hydraulics and (4) Shoulder Buttons from Ryan Huffman who also told me that they are made to club specifications and made by a member who's name escapes me.  These aluminum pieces are held to a card board backing with screws which will be used eventually to mount them to the "Horse Shoes" on each "Shoulder".

Description: "Shoulder Hydraulic" a long aluminum tube that is mounted on the outer "Horse Shoe" of each "Leg".

Aluminum Ankle Cylinders w/Wedges - February 2, 2006
by Jerry Greene (Mystery Solved - May 11, 2006)

Amount: $60.00 USD (Per Set)

I bought these (2) Aluminum Ankle Cylinders with Wedges from Craig Rundels back in January, but I didn't know who made them. Finally Jerry Green was browsing my site and was able to verify that these were in fact his Ankle Cylinders, so they are definitely to club specifications and I still need another set for the third center ankle.  I am hoping Jerry or someone will come out with the Center Ankle, Cylinders, and Wedges someday.

Description: "Ankle Cylinder" a long aluminum tube that is mounted on the outer side of the "Ankle".
