Ambassador Class Studio Miniature

Type of Federation starship of which the fourth Starship Enterprise was one. ("Yesterday's Enterprise" [TNG]). The prototype ship, the U.S.S. Ambassador, bore registry number NCC-10521. Ambassador Class ships have included the U.S.S. Adelphi (NCC-26849), the second U.S.S. Excalibur (NCC-26517), the U.S.S. Zhukov (NCC-26136), and the aforementioned U.S.S. Enterprise-C (NCC-1701C).

The Ambassador Class ship was designed by Rick Sternbach and Andrew Probert. The model, built by Greg Jein and Bill George, was intended to suggest an intermediate step between the Excelsior Class and the Galaxy Class starships.

Ambassador Class Color Scheme

Perhaps one of the most asked questions that I receive is "what is the color scheme of the Ambassador Class studio miniature?"  Well, I don't have the "official" colors used on the studio miniature, but when I painted my Ambassador model kit.  I spent many days testing several colors until I came up with best colors without having to custom mix.  All colors are from Testors' Model Masters line of model paint.
