 Nova
Class Studio Miniature
The Equinox, a
Nova-class ship, appeared in Voyager's fifth-season finale
(transported to the Delta Quadrant via the
"Caretaker"). According to the dialog, these ships
are meant for surveying planets and other such tasks. They
have a top speed of warp 8, and are lightly armed.
Interestingly, the Equinox was very similar to the Defiant
Pathfinder ship described in the Deep Space Nine Technical
Manual. They are most likely derivatives of the same
design, or perhaps the Pathfinder is a modified Nova.
